Bailout Debate Highlights
The 110th Congress's last act before pre-election recess was to ultimately pass a $700b economic bailout after a full week of debates that ranged from contentious to cooperative. Here are some highlights from this week. This is a work in progress. Feel free to participate by adding clips you feel are relevant.
Monday Sept. 29 2008
The House's first attempt at the bailout, which ultimately did not pass. To provide a sense of how some on each side of the aisle supported and opposed the bill, here are some examples from all sides. Link to full debate

Wednesday, Oct. 01 2008
The Senate considers, and passes, their version of the bailout bill. Some highlights of the debate follow, or watch the whole thing here.
