McGovern: mr. mcgovern: i yield myself such times as i may consume. i would say to my friend on the other side aisle, you've had your chance. we did it your way for eight years and we have the worst economy since the great depression. we have more people in poverty, we have the worst job creation since the great depression, we have more people who are hungry in america. we have more people without health insurance.

McGovern: mr. mcgovern: reclaiming my time. the democrats did. unfortunately, with the presidenwho vetoed every decent piece of legislation we tried to pass, vetoing expansion of children's health care and a whole bunch other things that would have helped the eco so george bush was president. right now we have a democratic congress and president. we're going to pass a budget
