Scott: gentleman is recognize mr. scott: mr. speaker, this resolution honors police officers and law enforcement professionals during police week. in 1962 president kennedy proclaimed the week in which may 15 occurs to be police week and for over 40 years the week of may 15 has continued to be the time to honor men and women in our nation's law enforcement agencies who protect our neighborhoods, our homes and our loved ones.
