Kevin McCarthy: if you take the first 43 from george washington to george bush and add up all the amount of debt that was accumulating from the creation of of this country to our battles with britain to world war i to the depression, to world war ii, katrina, afghanistan, iraq, vietnam, korea, the creation of a highway system is equal to the amount of debt that is going to be doubled. that is something that cannot be be maintained.
