Cardin: only for himself but his two children for preexisting conditions that didn't even exist, quite frankly, they didn't exist. but the insurance company was just in a positio could write the policy the way they wanted to write it. and this american maryland had no choice. there was n other insurance company that that person could get. there's just no -- there's no competition there.

Cardin: that's you why get it seems like insurance companies want to write insurance policies where no one can make claims. we buy insurance to protect us and insurance needs to be there. and that's one of the reasons we eliminate caps. insurance should be there to protect -- to give you the coverage when you need it, and that family needs that medicine to keep that child alive, well, that's why you have
